In category: Wake Up Songs
A daily log of the song that wakes me up each week day, courtesy of my bedside Acoustic Solutions clock/radio/ipod dock combo.
30.4.07: Supergrass - Sun Hits The Sky
A blast from the past, and a nice slice of summer pop on a sunny day.
27.4.07: Sufjan Stevens - Casimir Pulaski Day
This might just be my favourite track off of Illinoize. Maybe. Just maybe.
26.4.07: Ash - Petrol
Two Ash facts, facts fans:
1. I interviewed the two least famous ones (drummer and bassist) for dancing penguin when they played Portsmouth Guildhall.
2. We’re going to see them at Koko.
24.4.07: Drugstore ft Thom Yorke - El President
I think this has been a wake up song before, but as I write I can’t be that bothered to check. A classic one off.
4.4.07: Super Furry Animals - Ice Hockey Hair
SFA have been announced as headlining the End of the Road festival in September; given that Glastonbury isn’t happening, I could well be interested in that. Guess I’ll see what the new album’s like, as I’ve found that, unsurprisingly, their set tends to draw heavily from the most recent release. But then with a back catalogue such as theirs, it must be difficult trying to please everyone. I digress. Ice Hockey Hair. Tune.
